Hi, I’m May DeBoe, an interior designer with a cross-cultural perspective and a curiosity for how people experience the spaces around them. Born and raised in Thailand, my appreciation for design began early through exposure to architecture, landscape, and hospitality environments, shaping an enduring interest in spaces that feel both purposeful and memorable.

Before pursuing interior design, my professional path took me through luxury hospitality and dental healthcare—two very different environments that taught me a great deal about how spaces perform. Hospitality gave me an appreciation for guest experience, service, atmosphere, and the details that make people feel welcomed. Healthcare introduced me to the importance of workflow, functionality, organization, and creating environments that support both professionals and the people they serve.

Today, those experiences influence the way I approach design. I’m especially drawn to commercial interiors—including hospitality, workplace, and healthcare environments—where thoughtful space planning, materiality, and human experience come together. My residential studio experience has further strengthened my appreciation for craftsmanship, detail, and creating spaces that feel personal and considered.

I earned my A.S. in Interior Design Technology from Florida State College at Jacksonville, where I developed a foundation in space planning, technical drafting, 3D modeling, visualization, and design development. I enjoy moving between creative and technical thinking—from developing a concept and studying how people move through a space to refining materials, details, and the experience of the finished environment.

Outside of design, I find inspiration through travel, antiques, museums, historic architecture, and discovering places with a strong sense of character. Whether exploring a historic building or settling into a beautifully considered café, I’m always noticing the details that make a place memorable.
